The project is in Basra governate south of Iraq, approximately 10 km to the Al-Basra city with capacity of (10,000) M3/Hour, Beside the long pipeline, the project’s main components are four pumps, each with a capacity of 330 m3/Hour, and water collection ponds.
KEPPT has successfully executed the entire project, encompassing the water intake plant, pipeline station, and essential pipeline crossings. The project is currently under operation by KEPPT.
The Rumaila and Shatt Basra combined cycle power plants rely on steam generated from exhaust gases produced by gas turbines in the simple cycle. To ensure their optimal operation, KEPPT executed the River Water Intake Project which is established in 2021.
