Corporate social responsibility is an integral component of our business model and is codified in our dedicated Social Responsibility policy. The Social committee, overseen directly by the Chairman of the board and the Managing Director, comprises 10 executives. This includes KEPPT’s Executive Director of Social Responsibility, representatives from corporate business development and legal teams, and delegates from key business regions: United Arab Emirates, China, Turkey, and Jordan. An independent external advisor is also part of the committee, providing a fresh and critical external perspective.
Corporate social responsibility
At both local and project levels, KEPPT has instituted a framework of socio-economic development standards and guidelines that are implemented at the initiation of operations in a new country. Each framework is tailored to local context and needs, encompassing areas such as education, health, training programs, partnerships, and foundations. Recognizing the importance of investments in the communities where we operate, this approach fosters self-reliance at the local level, facilitating effective integration with local communities and ensuring a sustainable license to operate for future generations.
KEPPT’s community investment activities align with the goals and objectives of local, provincial, and national governments, focusing on improving technical skills and employability, enhancing local infrastructure, engaging in charitable donations, and fostering financial sustainability. This strategy creates shared value by aligning socioeconomic improvements of stakeholders with KEPPT’s core business objectives, facilitating the adoption and transfer of sustainable practices across global operations.
Since its initiation in 2016, the program has evolved and matured, now encompassing simple one-off sponsorships to complex multi-year projects. KEPPT’s social program in the Republic of Iraq involves supporting and sponsoring various sector conferences, educational institutions, and addressing community and health needs.
